“Bass Strait Mails - from Federation to WWII" was originally produced in book form by Modern Philately.

I believed that its effectiveness could be enhanced by use of computer technology that is now widely available and I have reworked it into a CD ROM using HTML so that it effectively is a "web site" on disc. The CD-ROM has been produced by stamps.AU Pty Ltd.

Details are given of the shipping contracts and steamers, the Parliamentary Inquiry of 1927 and the early airmail services between the mainland and Tasmania. The appendices also cover the shipping timetables - of interest to the postal historian.
